Honors 496- Integration of the Honors Core Curriculum
Course Description: "In this capstone course, a portfolio studio, students will complete the Interdisciplinary Honors Program by creating educational narratives within vibrant, creative, online portfolios. Each student will reflect upon the intersection of formal coursework and experiential learning by exploring, collaborating, articulating, testing out, refining, and showcasing the Honors portfolio to a community of peers, mentors, family, and alums."
This course functioned as a capstone of sorts for the Honors Program where we worked to update, finalize, and later present our portfolios to a group of peers and family members. This class was an excellent way to learn to summarize my college experience and reflect on what aspects of these last four years really influenced me the most. It was also great to learn about the experiences of other Honors students and the multitude of different paths each of us took within the same university. I think my favorite part about this course, however, was gaining the ability to speak succinctly about my undergraduate career at UW and being able to share this reflection with my family, who came to my presentation.
That's my family below!
