QSCI 480- Sampling Theory for Biologists
This is the last class I needed for my minor in quantitative science! There were a lot of familiar faces in this class since many of my peers were in the same boat, and it was nice to catch up with old friends. However, that didn't prevent this class from being incredibly boring and the homework assignments agonizingly dull. I was ready to do what I had to in order to finish up my minor and graduate, so I did my best to pay attention in class and powered through.

This quarter I was also busy working on my senior capstone proposal, something significantly more interesting than my quantitative science class. My capstone involves investigating the effects of a thirty percent retention harvest on bird species richness and abundance at UW's Pack Forest. I already collected preliminary data over the summer, so I spent the quarter reading up on scientific literature, figuring out my statistical analysis, and putting my proposal together. I'm looking forward to finishing up my data collection in April and putting my completed thesis together!
