QSCI 381- Intro to Probability and Statistics
From the start I expected this class to be dull, straightforward, and easy, and it more or less met my expectations. However, after not having taken a math class in so long, it was nice to once again crunch some numbers and exercise parts of my brain that hand't been getting much attention lately. I also appreciated that I could clearly see the relevance of this course to my major, which helped keep me focused and attentive in what would have otherwise been a very boring lecture class.

ESRM 300- Principles of Sustainability
Although it was difficult to stay awake at times during this two-hour seminar, I nevertheless found many of the guest presenters to be very engaging and enjoyed coming to class. It was interesting to see the variety of fields and backgrounds each presenter came from, and how their career related to sustainability. This class was surprisingly thought-provoking and Professor Jerry Franklin, who led the course, was excellent at guiding and prompting questions and class discussion.
