ESRM 304- Environmental and Resource Assessment
This class covered a wide variety of forestry topics which, as a senior, I pretty much had already learned all about and didn't find that exciting. Luckily this course did have weekly field trips to Saint Edward State Park, which were a welcome break from the classroom, but I found the homework and lectures tedious, especially the group projects. I did appreciate the class' format, however, where a different lecturer and topic would be presented each week as it kept the class a bit more engaging. Overall, though, I was pretty bored in this class. |
ECON 200- Intro to Microeconomics
Surprisingly, I actually found this class more interesting than my ESRM course because I'd never taken an economics class before and all the information was new to me. Professor Knox was a great lecturer, however a 400-person lecture class can only be so engaging and the field of economics never held much allure for me in the first place. The concepts and homework were straightforward and not too challenging to understand, which I appreciated, and the exams were likewise reasonable. Although the lectures could be pretty boring, all in all this class went better than expected for an overcrowded introductory course.
